Subgrade Stabilization is the use of geosynthetic reinforcement elements to provide constructability and access over very soft soils. Its use establishes a well-compacted non-yielding platform with uniform load support.

Basal Reinforcement is the use of a geosynthetic reinforcement element to stabilize an embankment over soft soils.

Ballast Reinforcement is the use of geosynthetic reinforcement elements to provide extended service life and performance of the track substructure, including the ballast materials and other supported track components.
