Pavement Rehabilitation

TenCate® Mirafi pavement rehabilitation products address the demands of both large-scale highway projects as well as smaller residential projects. Our interlayer products provide solutions to the most common problems of reflective cracking and inadequate structural capacity.

Keeping the existing road pavement inventory in a serviceable condition is one of the major challenges of road authorities world-wide, especially with an increase in the rate of reflective cracking due to our lean asphalt mixes, and increased use of recycled asphalt.

Instead of just using thicker asphalt layers, one method which has been successfully used world-wide for more than 30 years is the rehabilitation of asphalt and concrete roads using paving interlayer reinforced asphalt overlays. This method has proven to be an economical means of increasing the maintenance rehabilitation intervals and thus the working life of the road.
